More new, old, never-before-seen shots of Marilyn Monroe have surfaced. Taken in a New York apartment nine months before she died, the photos were were unveiled today, after being held by photographer Len Steckler for 45 years.
On a wintry afternoon in December 1961, poet Carl Sandburg and Steckler waited in Steckler's apartment for three hours for Monroe to arrive. She was late, she said, because she had been at the hairdresser's trying to get her hair white to match Sandburg's. The two spent the afternoon bonding over conversation and cocktails, fostering a new friendship while Steckler quietly observed, his Nikon loaded with black and white film. Sandburg was 83. Monroe was 35.
Steckler is now offering the shots for sale as a limited edition series called "Marilyn Monroe: The Visit."

Heidi Montag has been criticized no end, for being addicted to ‘plastic surgery’. Her doctor Dr. Frank Ryan said in an interview that she has a lot of perseverance, and he couldn’t imagine himself in her shoes. “I couldn’t have done that,” Ryan says. “Sitting down there with the wisdom of someone much older and thinking: ‘What is it I really need to do to propel my career? Heidi is 23-years-old [and] has been voting for five years — she is an adult, she made an informed decision, she made a good call as an adult.” There have been reports that off-camera he also said that, “Heidi sees herself as the new Marilyn Monroe; she sees the need for a new blonde starlet in Hollywood and she wants to fill that void.”

Hilton heiress Paris has announced via her Twitter account that she was "dressed as Marilyn Monroe" while shooting the campaign for her upcoming tenth fragrance, suggesting that it is now 'okay' to incarnate someone else in order to sell your signature scent.
